At Viva Dermatology, every online consultation is reviewed by the same board-certified dermatologist. You’ll always know who is evaluating your concerns and developing your treatment plan. All care is personally provided by Dr. Jeannette Olazagasti, combining the continuity and individualized attention of a traditional dermatology practice with the convenience of virtual care.

No. Most patients get started with an online consultation by securely submitting photos and their medical history through our patient portal. If you prefer to meet one-on-one with Dr. Olazagasti, live video visits are also available and can be scheduled separately.

Online consultations are $150 for new patients and $105 for follow-ups. Pricing is always displayed upfront when you book your online consultation.

We do not bill insurance directly for consultations. Upon request, we can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt with billing codes) that you may submit to your insurance carrier for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement depends on your individual plan and is not guaranteed. Insurance may be used for prescriptions or lab tests recommended during your consultation.
Our consultations are HSA/FSA eligible and can be paid for using your healthcare spending accounts.

Most treatment plans are available within 1–2 business days after you submit your consultation, often within hours. You’ll receive an email notification as soon as your plan is ready to view in your secure patient portal, which includes your skincare recommendations, prescriptions if clinically appropriate, and next steps. Prescriptions are sent directly to your preferred pharmacy, and mail-order delivery can be arranged if needed.
